Websites & Apps Built for Reliability.
Websites & apps built for reliability - from standard websites to AI-integrated platforms, Marlborough-based DigiCraft Labs creates custom digital architecture unique to your brand identity.
The DigiCraft Difference

A professional business website doesn't have to come with monthly or annual subscriptions. For many businesses, including tradespeople, beauty professionals, and legal practices, the requirements are straightforward: explain services, display work examples, and help customers get in touch. A website with one to twelve pages of content, photographs, and video can achieve that without an expensive management system running behind it.

Website builders make creating a site appear simple, but the subscription becomes an ongoing cost for as long as the service remains active. With DigiCraft Labs, the build is paid once and the client owns the finished website. DigiCraft Labs can host the website free of charge, or the supplied files can be uploaded to any independent hosting provider. The domain name still requires annual renewal, but no website-builder subscription is needed to keep pages online.

A website should help people understand the business and feel confident initiating contact. For a building company, that might mean project photographs and a clear service area. For a beauty salon, it could mean treatment descriptions and prices. For a legal practice, it might mean introducing the team and outlining key practice areas. DigiCraft Labs builds around the exact information customers require, with a design that reflects the business identity.

DigiCraft Labs manages design and development directly, removing the need to learn complex page builders or spend evenings adjusting templates. Websites are built to adapt smoothly across mobile devices and desktop screens, featuring clean navigation and direct contact pathways. Where booking tools, online payments, or specialist integrations are required, all options and external provider charges are explained in advance. Clients pay only for what serves the business, with all costs made clear from the start.

When the build is complete, full source files are handed over directly. The codebase belongs entirely to the client, leaving full freedom to continue working with DigiCraft Labs or choose another developer. DigiCraft Labs can provide free hosting so clients don't have to manage technical setup. Alternatively, those exact files can be deployed to any independent hosting provider. Moving between platforms requires no complete rebuild.

Domain renewal remains the primary ongoing requirement, while business email, design changes, and optional third-party services remain separate choices. If services or contact details change, an update can be arranged on demand. No ongoing platform subscription is required simply to keep existing information online. The website belongs entirely to the business, and the business chooses who maintains it.

Portfolio
Free Websites for Non-Profits
Based in Marlborough, DigiCraft Labs builds free websites and provides zero-cost hosting for eligible not-for-profit organisations, charitable trusts, and community groups. This service isn't available to political, corporate, or commercial organisations.
If you're starting a local club, community pantry, animal shelter, or charitable project, you've already got enough on your plate. You shouldn't have to spend your evenings trying to build a site on Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify, figuring out SEO, or working out which paid plan you need just to remove ads and use your own web address. DigiCraft Labs takes care of the build and hosting, so you can put that time and energy into putting your kaupapa into practice.
That means you can skip the days - sometimes weeks - of getting a website up and running yourself. You can skip the monthly website platform bill, too. There's no charge for DigiCraft's work building your site, and no hosting fee charged for keeping the site online. You'll also get all of the SEO strategy work provided free, helping you to be found on search engines such as Google.
The one cost your organisation does need to cover is its web address (e.g. yourgroup.org.nz). It's called a domain name, and it has an annual registration fee. If you'd like, this can be arranged through Cloudflare at cost (typically NZ$17 - $25 a year) with no mark-up. DigiCraft Labs connects it to your website as part of the setup. All of the techy stuff that can sound scary or confusing, such as the API/CMS/DNS/LLMS/SEO alphabet soup, will be taken care of for you.
Paid projects keep the lights on at DigiCraft Labs, so they take priority during the working week. Free community websites are built steadily between those projects. If your timeframe is flexible, you can leave the website with DigiCraft Labs and get on with the work that matters to you and your group. Marlborough-based initiatives get priority in the queue, and groups elsewhere in New Zealand are welcome when workload allows.
